It's like Lord of the Rings without the excessive wordiness!
Well, that's the way this book seems to me. I couldn't get past the first couple of page of LotR due to its excessive wordiness, but did enjoy the movies. While I read this novel, I couldn't help thinking what a great companion to the LotR series this is; for those who love the high fantasy LotR brings them. Mind you, it is a series in its own right. I fell in love with this series all the way back with Devil's Den, so putting my hand up to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review was a no-brainer. I love the characters and I love the author's writing style. I loved the diversity of the characters, especially the dwarves. While they may all be treasure obsessed, their motivations and purposes were different to each other. I had this book read in three days, I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book and this series.
