The weakest of the Sacketts books (IMO) I have read so far. However, still a pretty good read. L'Amour gives the main character, Orlando Sackett, a lot of challenges.
The cover text gives the wrong impression about this story. Those events (Mexican prison, boxing, etc.) happen rather late in the story. Perhaps the most interesting parts of the journey that Lando undertakes involve Lando's missing father. He learns more about his Dad bit by bit as he interacts with folks that knew him (some good, others morally corrupt, some downright bad).
Like many of L'Amour's books, this one could have used a good structural edit. That said, it is still an enjoyable action story.
