Rather easy to read in French, perhaps A2, and I certainly found it easier than the Little Prince with all of its usage of the passé simple tense. The language in Nicolas isn't exactly modern but it's functional and you can make use of some of it immediately. Tomorrow, I will have a few new names for the little brat that lives below me.
A lovely book full of laughter for those who misses their childhood and longs to have a trip back. One of my favorite children's book so far. Whenever I'm feeling down, Nicholas and his mischievious classmates and family never fail to cheer me up.
