Maybe because I'm a tired mother at the moment, I related to the protagonist more than I thought I would. There is nothing special about Maribeth, she's a working mother of twins, stressed out and preoccupied with everything other than herself that she hasn't even realized she has had a heart attack. After open heart surgery, Maribeth goes through a range of emotions, self-reflecting, and growth.

What happens when the choices you've made leads you to a person you don't recognize?
