A dazzling and daring debut story collection by PEN/Hemingway finalist, Kim Fu.

This was a really interesting collection. It reminded me of Electric Dreams or the new Twilight Zone in some ways. As with most short story collections, some were better than others (I loved Time Cube and Do You Remember Candy in particular), but all of them were really interesting and really well done. I'll have to look for more of Fu's work in the future.

I loved this so much. It felt like one of those completely engaging, bizarre short story anthologies you read as a kid, but with all the depth that comes from the life you’ve lived after you stopped reading them. Kicking it off with Pre-Simulation Consultation XF007867 was perfect, and the author had me exactly where they wanted me for the rest of the stories.
