Lest Darkness Fall

This is a dated but fun time travel romp about an archaeology professor who time travels to Rome and makes his way in the eternal city. Not the Rome of Trajan or Hadrian, but the Rome of the Goths, which is a really cool twist. If you like time travel books I'd give it a look.
