Two and a half really.
Quite an interesting outsiders view of life at Mount Algidus Station - a remote Canterbury station isolated by the Wilberforce River, and frequent difficult weather. Written by his mother - a city person from Christchurch, this book tells the story of around 8 years of the life of Ben and Anna - he lead up to, and their life on the station.
it is interesting, and fairly simply written, but to my mind it focused quite heavily on the marriage, with less about the farming / rural life. It is fairly non-technical, sticking to the overview. This isn't really a criticism, but it is just not what I expected when i picked it up.
Worth a read for an overview if interested in station life.
