I didn't expect to cry reading this!!!
The youngest Thomas sister starts to nanny for family friend Jace; and his two young girls.
The hot, single fire fighting dad, has been through the ringer with the girls mom. She's flakey and up and left them. His life is a mess - but he does the best to ensure his girls are happy.
Ashlan is his sunshine - she brings the girls brightness and confidence in a way Jace didn't expect.
Things get messy with the girls mom, but true love always finds a way!!
I really enjoyed this story! This was the book I was most looking forward to in the series. That being said, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting a little more spice as there wasn't much. What spice was there felt rushed even for the characters in the book. The ending also felt kind of rushed. I was almost aggravated that the epilogue wasn't even about Jace and Ashlan. It was about Everly and Hawk. But I know that the next book in the series will continue the lines of everyone's story, so I know to expect more from Jace and Ashlan with Charlotte's story. I just wish I got more in this book.
Hmmmm, I don't know. There was a lot going on in this book and yet not much at all. I guess a lot happened quickly and then you almost immediately know what the third Act break up is going to be about. This is an easy read tho. Not much for angst or emotional trauma etc.
