This is a book of complete menus for many different occasions and requirements. As you will see from the Contents on page 5, they range from Celebration Meals of all kinds to menus for the days when the housekeeping budget is at its lowest. I have also included suggestions for Slimming Meals and some that pay special attention to Health-giving Foods, so if you, or a member of your family, are over-weight or seem less fit than usual, these meals should help to solve the problems.
In many cases I have suggested dishes that are a good basis for variation, so that after you have tried the recipe as written, you can alter the flavourings, or use a different meat, fish or fruit.
I hope you enjoy using these menus and that they will provide your family and friends with pleasurable meals, while allowing you, the cook, to relax a little when it comes to the ever-present problem of 'what shall we have to eat?'.
