• Livia and Carter 

• Pet is a very annoying nickname and it threw me off due to her being mixed 
• No shade but where's the multicultural part 😭😭 just say interracial 
• The vagueness of Maven identity, like is she mixed with black or southasian (the aesthetic edits are confusing) 
• Her ex bf parents are racist like there's no other way to put it 
• What i usually like about KS sports romance that they aren't really misgnonystic but idk this one was eh.
• The jealously scenes pissed me off with Vince like use your words 😵‍💫
• Vince is definitely my least favorite KS mmc. But Maven is my favorite.but love how patient he is 
• Jax and grace and carter and Livia are my guesses for the next couples 

Hockey hotness! This book is everything! Steamy, funny, sad, exhilarating and just what I needed as the NHL is getting started. Woohoo!
I love the diversity and complexity of the characters in this story and how personalities came right off the pages and into my heart This book really hit home for me because that fear after being totally broken into pieces by a man can be so crushing and real. It's almost paralyzing. Thank you, Kandi, for all the feels in this book. I'm about to start the next book in the series so please keep ‘em coming! ...

The FMC, Maven is so terrible. She had an ex boyfriend who came form a rich family and did her wrong so now everyone who comes from money is the worst.

She is assuming people are awful until proven otherwise if she thinks they have money. People only give back to the community for better PR. Awful person. DNF @ 10%.

I really enjoyed the spice in this book 😩. Both main characters are toxic. They just seem not emotionally mature enough to be together. Yet, I gobbled it up.. What is wrong with me... 

Will say that this is the spiciest book I've read from KS but I wouldnt say its my favorite. Overall it was a fun read but I feel like there was something missing. I didnt feel as connected with the characters.
