I remember that i had a huge issue with this: Curran and Kate..what's wrong with you, guys?
You were awesome until the previous book and now you're acting like children, fighting without finding a solution for a little misunderstanding! :/
The plot was very good fortunately and also the continuing characterisation and evolution of the characters. That's why I love this series.
I hope the next book will be better :)

Panacea, the only medicine able to prevent a shapeshifter from turning into a loup. It also happens to be one of the hardest to find. The amount of magic it takes to create panacea is a closely guarded secret of the European shapeshifters. When two more children of the pack go loup, Kate watches as her ward Julie falls apart knowing her best friend has to be killed. This time readers are taken across the seas where the pack will have to protect a pregnant werewolf by the name of Desandra. Caught in a political struggle, not only does her father want to kill her, but there are two packs near war over her unborn children. Being the only human among shapeshifters, Kate will have to once again prove that she isn't just another weak human. Curran will also have to keep a close lid on his temper, or else start a war between his pack and three others.

Ilona Andrews isn't afraid to introduce new elements into the world of Kate Daniels. Because of this, there is never a dull moment in the series. Kate and the pack will have to face off against a new host of enemies and this time the cost is high. There will be no punches pulled and Kate's past is never far behind her. No one she loves is safe anymore.

Kate and Curran are tired of watching pack children die. If they can't learn to control their wolf or whatever beast form they take, they must be killed. There is a medicine, but it is very hard to get. The European packs won't tell anyone how it's made and they don't like to share. Luckily, the European packs need Curran to help them with a dispute. Curran will agree only if they pay him in meds. They all know it's some sort of trap, but they have to try for the children.

I loved this book! It was full of action all the way through. This one got me in the feels. Such a good book!

This one was a little slow to start. I started it before and had to restart it. Once it got going we were on a ride.

I have been reading the Kate Daniels books pretty much back-to-back, and I do not know how the IA have managed to keep them interesting and engaging, but they do.

Yes, there was a lot of drama in this book, but since it is not my story to tell, I welcome it. Also, I thought they did a GREAT job telling the whole story here, not just focusing on the drama. There were also some awesome fight scenes, between Kate and Hugh, between Kate and monsters, and the scene when Kate finds the shepard(its been a few days and a few books, this is what he called himself, right?) after almost drowning is interesting. There is plenty of information in this book, and it is not really centered around Kate and Curran.
