I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, and I found the characters to be believable, even if a couple were small-town stereotypes. I'm from a small town, so maybe that's why I liked them. I also wanted to know more about what happens next for Michael and Alex Sheridan, daughter of the local attorney come back to her hometown to visit. And I loved Willadean. I hope to see more of the characters in future Hidden Springs stories.

The main plot of the story, the murder mystery, was nicely done. As I read, I wanted to know what happened next, what the next clue would be, what that clue would unravel. And there may or may not have been an ending that I did not see coming.

This was the first book by Ann Gabhart that I've read. Based on how much fun this one was for me to read, I'll be reading more in the future.
