[Siren Classic ManLove: Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, werewolves, light bondage, sex toys, HEA] Four months ago, Cole Morgan, human, writer, sufferer of verbal diarrhoea, fell in love with his boss Evan West. Two months ago, he was kidnapped and held hostage by Evan's dad. Now he is doing just fine, or he would be if everybody wasn't constantly waiting for him to break down over it. Evan, on the other hand, is not fine. The werewolf, having decided that Cole is his mate, is having trouble keeping his protective instincts in check, and the violent nightmares he endured are creeping into his waking life. With issues and dangerous revelations coming at them from both sides of their families, not to mention Cole's penchant for finding trouble and uncovering secrets, the couple find themselves tested at every turn. Cole's pretty sure they can handle it though. After all, nothing can be worse than declaring their relationship to the scary HR lady. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Yes Cole continuous to be his funny, sarcastic self and Evan is all hot werewolf but I felt that somehow all these issues were too much for a series of books that seemed to be just a fun romp. A well done romp is a hard thing to carry off and I feel the author managed that in the first book but somehow felt compelled to add social issues this time around, which were already plain from the beginning and didn't need to be hammered in thus detracting from soufflé that is the story.Don't get me wrong. I didn't hate it and it won't kill you to read it after the first but I would have been happier with at least one less issue I'm looking at you Cole's brother
