I'm really not sure how to rate this, but I think I'll be lenient and give it a 1.5/2.
This was one of those books you can grab on Amazon for free, so I jumped and took it. Also My Best Friend's Wedding is one of my favorite romcoms, so I had to try this book.
It's a very quick read. As it's under their Lesbian Romance category, I can understand the focus on Lesbians but it was really uncomfortable to see a lack of mention at the possibility of the bride character, engaged to a man, as bi. It was really pushing the idea that someone had to label themself as explicitly lesbian. It had smutty moments and sex scenes, so not a book for kids. But it seemed like such an unbalanced relationship with one character teasing the other and getting sex but never really committing or loving. I wonder if this is just something that comes from free books or if I should just expect this in LGBT romance but not “literary” books. I know there are higher quality books out there but I really did give this a try.
And they don't even end up together? They're just like "Hey it's nice to hang out together even after I get married."
