Interesting and inspirational read. Steinem has lived a fascinating life, and she has many worthwhile tales to tell. It was interesting to read about the development of the women's movement from an insider's perspective.
Gloria Steinem nous entraîne dans sa vie sur les routes, où s'entremêlent ses combats féministes, les moments de bonheur partagés lors de ses interventions à l'université et en mettant dans les mains de lecteurs et lectrices une histoire féministe quelque peu oubliée, telle que la Conférence des Femmes de 1977.
Cette lecture m'a laissée animée d'une volonté d'agir, prête à enfourcher ma bécane violette pour poursuivre cette route inspirante !
A lire et relire et à conserver précieusement dans sa bibliothèque féministe.
This was not what I expected it to be. But I did enjoy it. I think I was expecting more autobiography, and this was a little less organized and chronological. I did appreciate her perspective on her own beauty (as a tool & problem) as well as the way she reached out to women of color. This makes me think again about how I teach this era.
