Reviews with the most likes.
I don't give a one-star review easily. This one deserves it. I bought it because of a recommendation elsewhere on the internet that said the heroine had a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and it was handled well.
I very much disagree. Laura's disability and its effects on her life seem both poorly researched and inconsistent. From the hero's expectation of what a woman with a TBI must be even before he met her, all the way through his tossing off her medical history to everyone at the office without a thought, all the way through his pity and placing himself as the only man who could ever love her, allll the way through the whole danged book, he made me angry and he never really changed. His little “HOW DARE my mother set me up with someone with a double chin or acne” moment wasn't particularly endearing, either.
I'm trying to think what to write about, but honestly I got angry at this book so many times that it's hard to organize my words.
I hate leaving bad reviews. I HATE it. So generally I don't. I leave my stars, and let other, more eloquent reviews do the job. But this book just made me angry in multiple directions.
