An approachable introduction to Greek mythology. He wrangles the tangled web of stories and tales into a (mostly) coherent narrative, but retells it with a bit of creative liberty seasoned with Fry's trademark wry humour. Almost feels like reading an abridged parody version of a religious text, but that makes it all the more engaging.
An interesting and flowing summaries and retellings of Greek mythology. Each chapter or section is their own story or myth, so it's easy to listen to the book in small chunks.
Really enjoyed going through all of the myths, so interesting and disturbing too.
Lost a star for me as it did not mention the word rape enough (only once at my count). There were lots of rapes. Please use the language and don't skirt it.
