This review is for the audio book version. Loved this. There is nothing more I can say as I refused to do spoilers. I'm one of those people who'll tell you that you'll just have to read/listen/watch to find out what happens. While I can recommend this series, it is up to you if M/M relationship stories are your thing. I thoroughly enjoyed this and am looking forward to the next book.
Meh. Quick read that reminded me a lot of The Mummy movies. As such, there is a lot of liberty taken with Egyptian history. Also, as such, the couple of ‘twists' were rather...predictable and something that I saw coming. It was still a fun read, over all, because I happen to like cheesy takes on Egyptology.
What I don't tend to like is the relationship drama that usually comes with an established couple. In fact, I don't usually read stories with established couples, and if I hadn't bought the set of books 4-6 two years ago (and only now getting around to reading more than the first 3 or 4 chapters of this book) I probably wouldn't even be bothering with it.
