Never Far Away

Excellent thriller but a bit slow-paced. Plot/character driven. Woman on the run from hitmen. Safe for 10 years til husband (who raised their two preteens) died in auto accident. She goes back to claim kids as only relative but they never even knew of her existence. Takes them from KY to her home in ME where she is a wilderness guide. Hitmen come looking for her again but she has learned how to take care of herself in the wilderness and with weapons and is determined to keep her kids alive. Various other characters enhance the story which is well-written.
