Nine Lives

Holly shit, I can't believe I finished listening to this book. It would have been a DNF otherwise.



This series took such a bad turn. Ms. Akeroyd tried something new and it could have worked. But the moment she validated the “Original sin,” she lost me.



I liked the first 2 books. They were okay, I was hoping it would get better in the final installment. But was drastically disappointed.

This series was relationship-driven and yet we don't get more than one physical description of each male in the entire series. Correction, I don't even remember a physical description for Samuel. I went back to the first book and re-read the first time Eve met him, nothing. It's like, after Ms. Akeroyd told the reader where each male was born, we would just know what they looked like. She talked more about their skin and noses then hair color. I had to look up men I found attractive, and fit the minute info, Ms. Akeroyd provided as a reference to keep the men organized. I took notes. I normally only take notes on a haram when the series is long and I need a refresher.
