On the Basis of Morality

First published in 1995, this revised translation by E.F.J. Payne of Schopenhauer's Uber das Fundament der Moral is based on the venerable Huabscher edition (seven volumes, Wiesbaden, 1946-1950). This edition includes Schopenhauer's prefaces to the first and second editions, as well as an introduction by David E. Cartwright (philosophy, U. of Wisconsin-Whitewater).
