I didnt enjoy this one as much as Penelopes story. I was expecting to like it even more because I really like Pippa, however I felt like she kind of fell flat in this book. Cross was just weird. As soon as Knight tried to weasel his daughters marriage to Cross, I made some assumptions on what was going to happen, turns out that my assumptions were right! So I was a little annoyed that this book was so predictable.
I also didnt understand why Pippa felt so betrayed by Cross when he announced his betrothal, when she herself is oh, I dunno, betrothed to Castleton! I really liked Castleton, and his behavior was simply beyond reproach throughout the whole book.
