One on One

High school jock Sam Styles makes the rash promise that next year, both the boys and the girls high school basketball teams will win the State Championship. To make good on his promise, he reluctantly befriends Deanie Gauthier, the strung-out, punked-out captain of the girl's team. Unalike in every way, the two somehow fall into a romantic relationship that turns every head in town. But underneath her tough, cynical exterior, Deanie's life is more violent and dangerous than Sam ever expected, and Sam's love might not be enough to save her.
