This is the shortest of short stories. For that it is entertaining and accomplishes its goal of a momentary diversion.

The premise of the story revolves around an arcane bit of Science Fiction history, which I didn't know about, namely, H. Beam Piper's suicide in the early 1960s. The story takes a straight-faced approach to the historicity of the Paratime history that Piper is famous for and an absurdly science fictional approach to the real story of Piper's apparent suicide.
