I love this series. And I am sad that it has to come an end. Even sadder that the author is deceased, so no more badass stories just like this.
The Mindf*ck series is definitely a masterpiece.
Took me 5 books and almost 700 pages to realize this authors pen name spelled STABBY. Shameful of me, very tongue in cheek of her. I am DEFINITELY going to look up her pen names the next time I'm in a reading slump.
All of these books are available on KU FYI.
This whole series was a roller coaster and I am glad I decided to jump on. Going to try and get my heart rate back to normal now.
Currently in a mega book hangover coz I just finished the series.
Finished it in less than 24 hrs who am I?!!?
Wow the feelings I get when I think of the book is so hard to describe;
I couldn't stop crying at some parts coz my heart went out to these characters and everything they went through.
Overall thoughts on the series.
I couldn't care less abt the romance that was happening in here, but as the series went on I was able to start tolerating it more and more.
Lovee the characters and I felt so much anger and hatred toward everyone that did them wrong and I was so glad with the way everything happened in the end.
I want to say more but coz its a series with really short books Im afraid that I might spoil it.
BUT PLEASE IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS AND HAVEN'T READ THE SERIES YET. GO READ IT NOW!!!!!
This would make a perfect tv show btw <3
SERIES REVIEW:
I think this book is better to review as a series especially as I binged through them. Trigger warnings for sexual assault, and torture in very graphic ways. This book is exactly what you want when you go into it. Its not for every reader, and it's not for every time. I know that at another time, I would have a different view of this book. I personally enjoyed the romance, despite knowing its not very realistic. My advice would be, read the blurb - if you're nervous, leave it. If you're not, go for it. If you read mafia romance then I also think you may be fine.
5 STARS!
This series had be unable to anything else but read it!
All consuming. It has spice, thrills, murder, and YOU get the answers you've been waiting for finally!
I loved the ending.
I am very late on my review for this book. Yet I think this is one of my favorite buddy reads with my girls but then again we do love our WTF kind of books so these were my feelings when I finished.
I question my sanity right now because I feel like I should not have loved this book as much as I did. But I seriously dare anyone to read this and not be blown away. This was a dark thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Our main character Lana was so badass. I love empowered female characters. Lana's plot for revenge was so well organized and there were so many layers to the plan that unraveled at different points of the story. Seriously this series was so well written. Lana was actually quite a likeable character. Again, here I question my sanity because I felt like I could relate to her despite her seriously twisted actions. I will say I wish I had more Jake time.
Now beware, this book is dark and it is very graphic. If blood and gore make you queasy this book is not for you! But if you liked the show Revenge you will love this!
And yes there is romance in this story! Yes, there is a HEA! I doubted our lovers would have their happy ending but the author pulled it off quite well and what an amazing epilogue!
This series was absolutely amazing. So unique! It's one of these series that you stay up all night reading even though you have work in the morning. I really will have to look into more by this author.
WOOWWW WOOWWW JUST WOW!!!
IM SO GLAD BOOKTOK MADE ME READ THIS WONDERFUL ASS SERIES HOW COME I FINISHED ALL OF THEM IN ONE DAY... I MEAN THEY ARE SHORT SOOOOO
EL FINAL amo la verdad 10/10 gracias por darme una dosis de serotonina que me duro 3 días
I absolutely loved the entire concept of these books, Logan and Lana were amazing and I loved Jake as the genius behind all the tech. I will say that I don't think these needed to be 5 short books, with a bit of editing down this could have been one amazing cohesive book. It just needed a bit more polish and tidying up to be a 5 star read!
This is just going to be my comments on the series as a whole... 10/10! This was a wild ride from the beginning & I loved it!
FREAKING AMAZING! this whole series was incredible and I'm slightly depressed now that it's over. lana myers is my idol
4.5 Stars
I'm. I'm just very emotionally drained and numbed right now. That feeling of “how do I even continue from this point?” It's kinda weird, I get this feeling a lot after I read a fanfiction I really adore but it doesn't really happen with print novels. Guess it goes to show just how much I loved this fucked up series.
Well, I finally read the last instalment of The Mindfuck Series. It was quite a ride. Honestly I'm not entirely satisfied with the ending, but it's mostly because I'm petty and a sucker for happy endings. Despite this, I enjoyed it: the reveal of the initial serial killer and the way Lana ended up at the end made sense to me.
Oh my godddd!!! The perfect ending to this series
A great way to wrap everything up! With a twist I did not see coming!
Love love love

This series will be my fav I love this series with all it's flaws regardless of my disliking for certain elements.
rating - 4 / 5 overall series rating - 4.5 / 5“Hell is empty and all the devils are here”(aaron warner crossover?)
I LOVED this series. When i started reading it, I thought this would be kind of predictable, but boy was I wrong- everything right from the actual killer to the ending, I couldn't have guessed.
This was more than just about the romance and the incongruous, mismatched pair of Lana and Logan.
“that's what happens when you're a serial killer dating an FBI profiler who hunts serial killers.“It's sad that I want to hide my bodies now so that my boyfriend gets a break and can spend more time with me” It was about revenge, justice and victims whose voices have been silenced, corruption and the lines between right and wrong being blurred
“And you treat her like a monster. Why? Because she kills? Do you treat your military like monsters? Do you stare at your own reflection with such disdain? Because I've seen your file. You've shot and killed thirteen serial killers since your career began. Those were real monsters, just like all the men Lana has dispatched.”
The whole shift in Logan's stand was done in such a great way. Book 4 practically left me broken; so seeing everything fall back into place and right itself was the absolute best.
“Her head falls to my chest, and my lips press against the top of her head as I hold her as close as possible. And we dance.”“Nothing I stood for was worth more than her. Nothing I valued held any true value at all. Everything I have is pointless without her.” (* screaming *)
And the epilogue? chef's kiss. topped it all. The whole killing people the system can't touch is such a beautiful way to continue the legacy of the absolute goddess: LANA MYERS.
loveddd jake, loooved hadleyy and LOVED LOVED LaLo. (def inspired by lilo T_T) You're a 100% missing out if you don't read this series. Just make sure to check all the trigger warnings before you do.
I was absolutely GLUED to this series of short books!! The story takes off basically right from page one and barely lets down through out each of the 5 books (besides a bit of a lull from book 3).
The writing wasn't exceptional, some parts were far fetched and unrealistic, others felt unnecessary and even silly (the main male character who doesn't even have enough time to get more than a few hours of sleep a night certainly didn't need to have abs, which were mentioned multiple times, to fit the desirable character he was). But even with those flaws I absolutely LOVED this series.
It was such a quick and easy read. It was gripping and suspenseful almost all the way through each book and you learn to adore these highly flawed characters. It is also told from multiple perspectives which is always a favorite for me.
Without taking everything too seriously I HIGHLY recommend this series! What a fun story that absolutely picked back up my excitement for reading again.
Oh and last note, I absolutely hate the cover art and titles of these books (if I didn't already say it enough under the other books' reviews). What a disservice to the books, if that's stopping you like it was for me for a while, push through, it's worth it!
