Paper Girls, Vol. 1

This was a great read from start to finish. I am combing through all my comics and graphic novels so I can get my hands on Volume 2. The artwork is amazing and the hues of purple, dark pink, and blues really set the 80's feel.

Four unique girls on a paper route come across a device that changes their life forever. Volume 1 gave me just enough information to get me hooked and wanting to read more. Erin and Mac remind me of myself. I am anxious & protective of my sister like Erin, yet I relate to being a tomboy like Mac.

I am not understanding the not so great reviews. Maybe because I haven't read Saga yet? Sure, Mac, is problematic with her insults, however this is set in the 80's. I am sure her character will develop as the series does.

If you love female leads, 80's nostalgia, and sci-fi this series if for you. I recommend listening to some 80's instrumentals to really set the mood.
