Unlike the first two books in the series, Playing With Fire focuses solely on the romance arc, eschewing the sociopolitical issues that enriched [b:Playing for Keeps 25751572 Playing for Keeps (Glasgow Lads, #1) Avery Cockburn https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1440061587l/25751572.SY75.jpg 45594055] and [b:Playing to Win 25938702 Playing to Win (Glasgow Lads, #2) Avery Cockburn https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1442096313l/25938702.SY75.jpg 45836082]. Plus Liam was pretty much an asshat for most of the novel, and I had my doubts about how long the relationship with Robert would last. Still worth reading for glimpses of Fergus/John and Colin/Andrew, and the introduction of a new secondary character, a talkative wedding planner who looks like prime sequel bait.
