What poetry, you might ask. Good stuff you already know like “Hope” Is the Thing with Feathers by Emily Dickinson, The World is Too Much With Us by William Wordsworth, some e. e. cummings, Caged Bird by Maya Angelou...poems that people who like graphic novels would like, I think.
A way in to poetry for some who might not go there.
My appreciation of poetry is mostly theoretical. I hate to admit it, but my brain just doesn't seem to work that way. But the illustrations on this book – so beautiful! – certainly have me the ability to appreciate these poems in a deeper and more appreciative way than normal.
