Logan O'Toole and Devi Dare are porn stars that worked together once, and now they can't stop thinking about each other. When they meet again at a party and sparks fly between them, Logan comes up with a plan. He'll create a porn reality show and Devi will be his co-star, but what happens when business mixes with pleasure? When their feelings become real and they must decide if porn is really what they want or if their love is worth risking it all.
Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone write awesome books, but together, they're off the charts! I love this writing duo and look forward to more from them. The writing is very smooth and it isn't disjointed like some co-authored books tend to be. They're fun and quirky and that shows through in the writing.
I thought this was a cute story; cute and hot. I mean, it's a story about porn stars, so if you were thinking you wouldn't get any sex, you'd be wrong. Lots and lots of hot sex..and it is hot! But it always has a purpose in the story, moving the story along and showing the connection between these two characters. Although I did enjoy this book, it wasn't my favourite from these authors, partly, I think because I couldn't relate to their situation, or ever imagine myself in that situation.
I thought Devi was a fun character, her parents are hilarious, especially her mum. I loved that they supported her decisions regardless of what they were. Did I mention that Logan is swoon-worthy? No? Well, he is. You will love him!
I actually got really invested in the story there were a couple of parts that had me reacting while listening to them. At one point, I was literally like ‘Oh, Logan, you man! You're not reading the signs' Lol. Then I had a moment of just shaking my head and repeatedly saying ‘no, no, no. Please no!' Thankfully Laurelin and Sierra were nice enough not to destroy me because if that uncomfortable moment had turned into something else, I don't think my delicate heart could have handled it. If you've read the book or listened to it, I think you'll know the part I mean, I'm remaining vague for those that have yet to read it.
I've seen a few reviews that commented that Logan being a porn star concerned about consent isn't realistic, I really loved that about his character, it is a hot topic in the world of porn right now and I think the authors were very sensitive to that fact when they included it. Let's face it, wouldn't the world be a better place if more people were like Logan O'Toole?
