Prayer for Beginners

In this compact and straight forward book, Peter Kreeft does an excellent job of articulating the “Why” and to an extent the “How” of prayer. The longest chapter in the book is dedicated to the Shortest prayer there is, The name JESUS. It alone is worth the price of admission. Happened to read this book right after Thomas Merton's “New Seeds of Contemplation” and found them to compliment each other very nicely.
