Rappaccini's Daughter

This is getting 4.5 stars! I COULD NOT PUT DOWN THIS BOOK! This story is one of the few that made a strong impression on me among the collection of gothic tales I'm reading. He could have lived with sweet, poisonous Beatrice, Dr Rappaccini gave his daughter the gift of a husband and lover, and everyone would have been happy, had it not been the idiot telling Beatrice he thought she was disgusting. I hope he drank the antidose as well. Arse.
