Sometimes you read a book and sometimes it consumes you. This series is doing exactly that. If you thought Obsession hit all the right spots, you better hold on to your seat for Rejection because Kingston is changing hearts and minds in this book. He rubbed a lot of people the wrong way in Obsession, but in Rejection we find out more about his reasons and really get to see his vulnerability. And with that, we see the change in him. We see his relationship grow with Sunday and start to see Kingston, Thorne, and Alek really embrace the idea of being with her. They realise that they each have something unique that she needs, and their love for her overrides anything else. Daddy Caleb...well, he still needs some time. But he's starting to come around slowly. There are some super spicy scenes...let's just say Sunday is a lucky woman.
I am still team not choosing. I want them all.
What I love about this book (series) is that it has such an intriguing storyline with twists and turns aplenty. You are so focused on the story because you never know what revelations may happen.
Stella Hunter continues to reign supreme, voicing Sunday, and all of the female characters. I just love how every voice she does is so unique. Each of the male characters has moments of vulnerability and the voice actors do such an outstanding job of showcasing that. J.F. Harding and Jason Clarke especially. (Because we see more of their characters vulnerability) But not only that, but the banter between the characters is so seamless, it almost felt like J.F Harding, Aaron Shedlock, James Joseph, and Jason Clarke were just being recorded as they hung out. It was a really fun aspect to the audiobook. They all nailed their character and some voice other characters too. Giving each their own voice. Shane East does drop in as a special appearance as Lucas Blackthorne and it is fabulous.
This full-cast really is a how-to on casting. Each voice actor is perfect for the character. The production is seamless.
I am so excited to see where this story goes next and what the voices actors bring to it.
Bring on Possession. I need it!
