Remaking Christmas

I received this book for free to review.

I just could not get into the story. it's a short, sweet contemporary romance. But I couldn't seem to care about the characters or their situation. And when that happens, I don't tend to enjoy the story. The plot was pretty simplistic and there wasn't much of a romance... pretty much insta-love happening here. It just didn't work in my eyes.

The narration was a huge let down for me. I hadn't listened to anything by Ms Meyer before and I found her performance to be labored. The cadence of her speech, timing, pacing, even the emotion was just off for me. There were times when a sentence would be over, but it was hard to tell based on her speech. It just didn't work for me and the book

In all honesty, I'm not entirely sure I'd pick up another book by this author or narrator.
