I received this book from the author/publisher for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are entirely my own.
In Rocket-Bye, Carole takes her young, dreaming readers on an adventure to the galaxy. Riding atop their rocket, two boys are featured in this bedtime adventure poem as they learn the galaxy. They encounter all of the planets, as well as some well-known constellations, and just have a good time up in space.
The words of the poem flow just like they should; with a soft, bedtime rhythm. The pictures are soft and simple but capture what the words are saying in a unique way. The young readers may learn a few vocabulary words, as well as the order of the planets and the names of some of the constellations.
So overall, I rate Rocket-Bye 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to both young boys and young girls under the ages of probably 8 or 9 (but more likely much younger than this).
