I flew through this book since it is one of those super short New Adult books. I really enjoyed Olivia and Nicholas and watching their relationship grow. As with any other new adult book the ending is obvious and you know there will be bumps along the way. I can say it was not all completely predictable though and the ending had a twist I wasn't expecting. I look forward to the next book, Henry's book. We did not see much of him in this book but I'm curious to learn more about him in his own book.
Loved this!
A rollicking good royal read, the classic fairytale in a modern setting with contemporary characters.
Prince Nicholas is a gorgeous, naughty charmer and Olivia is his match in every way.
Looking forward to reading Henry's story!

I reread this in 2021 and I did still really love it! I had a couple issues with random talk of schizophrenia that I felt like weren't necessary and a little bit offensive. They just didn't make sense in the book, but it was only 2 extremely brief comments. I loved everything else about this though including both the characters and the steam in this book is honestly unholy lmao for more thoughts watch the book club liveshow.
Going by my rating, I absolutely adored this book. That said, I still had a few problems with some of the things that happened. For example, the beginning filled me with so much suspense and tension that I was about to keel over from anxiety, waiting for the main characters to finally meet! And then, I don't know, maybe I was just a little bit pissed at the situation in general. Of course, that said situation couldn't have been helped and only added something specific [good or bad, I'm not telling, since I don't want any cries of “Spoiler!” directed towards me] to that ending. However, all in all, I stand by my rating that this book was fantastic; I wish I could go back in time and reread it all over again. Yes, including that infuriating beginning. Yes, through all the heartbreak and drama [though, really, that's the real reason we're all reading this right?]. A thousand times yes.
