read for magical readathon 2023 [moon warden]: elemental studies (flowers on the cover)
this was cute and i loved the smut but out of all of tessa's work this feels like the least fav, and i wasn't really a fan of the characters or their relationship, which is kinda necessary for me for a romance.
I think the male protagonist's anxiety level was supposed to make him relatable, but instead it just blew up my anxiety. This didn't click for me.
Another solid romance from Tessa Bailey, I've loved others from her more but her books very rarely disappoint! Always a good read/listen.
The very same minute love letters appeard in the story I was just like “Not again...“And yes, I was right...story was (because of them) long-winded
Julian Vos is more interesting in summary than in action — a history professor with Anxiety (capital A) whose family owns a vineyard and who has taken a sabbatical to write a book! But in action he's kinda hot and cold. There are some great moments but I found him aggravating as often as I found him charming.
But Hallie Welch? PROTECT THIS DELIGHTFUL CINNAMON ROLL DOG MOM WITH EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT! I love her

No le tenia mucha fé, pero me gustó.
Es una historia bastante simple, pero linda.
Ehhh...I've read several Tessa Bailey books and this was my least fav. The plot was weak. The characters were bland. I'm all for spice but this was too much and in parts of the book that didn't make sense to me. I did listen to this on audiobook and I didn't love the narrator so maybe that was part of the problem. This was tough for me to finish.
It's giving cheesy Netflix rom-com, but actually done well and steamy. The ending was a little rushed, but I genuinely enjoyed reading this.
