A slight improvement over the first book, though it still shares the same problems. The story is interesting but never actually scary, and there are just too many characters to ever really feel like you've gotten to know anyone. Still, I'm intrigued to find out where things go - and I think the final book might finally get down to the horror I was hoping for when I started this series.
Again, a super fun read. Less action, but no less interesting. Here, we are in the waiting game and I've really liked how each character reacted to the situation. Still love those characters by the way. Love how they interact with each other. Must say that my favorites are still the quatuor (well, quintett if we count the dog!) from Desperation, and the trio from Scotland. But honestly, there's no characters that I don't like.
Strong moments: When the president ordered the Spanish Prococol (I've got chills!). The snippets from minor characters whom we mostly won't hear again (sometimes we see hope, other times the opposite). The last chapters.
Seriously, very good story, captivating with bits of humour, action and touching moments.
