I've read this short story of Neil Gaiman's before (I believe it's in Fragile Things), but this edition with Colleen Doran's illustrations is just gorgeous. Thank you to my parents for this beautiful book.
If you want to read a creepy retelling of Snow White with gorgeous artwork, then this graphic novel is for you. Neil Gaian never ceases to amaze me after all these years.
A twisted-retelling of Snow White in Neil Gaiman style. The artwork is so beautiful! Read if you are a Gaiman fan, the haunting feeling his stories leave you with might not be for everyone.
WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST READ???? i hate it thanks also my favourite part was when she called the princes dick tiny that was great thanks
otherwise, genuinely, very uncomfortable to read idk if thats my sex repulsion talking or if other ppl feel the same. i didnt understand jack shit ion know its not for me.
also im 90 percent sure there was more r.pe than sex- the tiny dick prince with the DEAD GIRL, the queen to the king once or twice.. like wtf was this book ? is there any reason jesus fuck
If you love dark, gothic and bloody retellings this is definitely for you. I don't usually read graphic novels but I really loved this one.
The artfully displayed story as told by the “wicked” Queen is simply amazing. I would definitely recommend spending the 15-20min it takes to devour this one.
A stunning retelling of the classic Snow White.
This is beautifully restrained but chillingly monstrous.
The story is told from the ‘evil' Queen's perspective and provides an excellent narrative journey, showing all the elements that we know and expect from the original tale but with something new, something unique and something very very dark.
Yes, the story itself is pretty weird in terms of how adult it is. But I pushed all of that away and marveled at the art style and voice of the queen. The story itself is creative (even though it does have some wild weird things) and so is the art style. Usually, I wouldn't pick up a graphic novel but looking at the pages and the concept, I knew I needed it. Every page was a stunning work of art. Gaiman's retelling is short and is told like a fairytale without it being an entire 300-page book. I enjoyed it and was the perfect book for Halloween!
