Gah. I HATE this one. I hate Kelsey so much. So very much. She's so insufferable and uninspiring and exhausting and judgemental and so many other things.
Furthermore, I just don't feel the connection between the two main characters. Zero chemistry. Did I mention I hate Kelsey? Yeah.
Meh.... it has cute parts, but I stopped at about 80%. I just couldn't force myself to finish it.
et's skip talking about how stupid and silly kelsey is, and the fact that jo couldn't understand that no, means no, at the start of the book, and let's appreciate three-chapters-later jp messing with kelsey till she was fuming π
i L A U G H E D so hard with this book, not even a not so meet cute made me laugh this hard, i guess kelsey's stupidity made it extra funny for me, sorry π
anyway, my poor baby jp π i wanted to hug him so many times all throughout the book, because someone π was so oblivious to him π€¦πΌββοΈ
anyway, it is a 4.5* but goodreads still hates me and doesn't let me add halves π€·πΌββοΈ
Who knew pigeons could be that effing adorable?
JP is a god damn sweet heart with a dirty talking mouth.
Tottttttalllyyyy get Kelsey's insecure moments but I think JP lifts her up in ways she didn't know she needed.
10/10
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Bloom Books publishing, and Meghan Quinn for this e-copy of So Not Meant to Be! This is one of my favorites of the series!
I love JP's character. He is relatable and funny and cute and sweet and a little cocky and sarcastic. His character development was really good. Kelsey needed to lighten up a little earlier than she did. I wish they would have communicated better.
The pigeon was hilarious and one of my favorite parts of the story. You just have to read to understand.
Please keep writing good books Meghan! I'm so excited to read more.
