Sojourner Truth's Step-Stomp Stride

This is a fabulous biography of the great Sojourner Truth. Born into slavery, she found an abolitionist to buy her out when her owner's promises to free her did not come to pass. She began to preach, and crowds came to hear what she had to say, including speaking out against slavery and promoting the rights of women.
