Whew, this book was one tense ride. I have a soft spot for WW2 fiction, and I couldn't put this one down. The mystery is strong and parts of it are sure to rip your heart out with emotion...she didn't shy away from having a murder victim be someone we knew in the first part of the book, and there didn't seem to be any way to solve the murder until the murderer shows his hand more–i.e., kills more people. This gives the book a ton of suspense, especially when the heroine declares she's not going to give up on the quest!
