When her marriage breaks down, Esther Lomax needs to get away and hopes that Malaysia's unspoilt shores will provide some space and time alone. Sure enough, each day of her holiday finds Esther beginning to unwind and feel ready to face single motherhood. However, a day's boat trip takes a desperate turn when Esther and six other holidaymakers are deposited on an uninhabited island. Their guide, who had promised to pick them up in an hour's time, fails to return and the dreadful reality of the situation hits the group. With no means of getting back to the mainland and knowing nothing about each other, tensions erupt - and time is running out. Esther must ask herself the ultimate question: will she leave the island alive?
