I didn't expect this to be so great!
This is erotica, for sure. 100% Certified and Steamy. But there was unexpected depth of characters and feeling and conflict that really pulled me in. I always love a good menage and this one is definitely one of my favorites. I felt that I knew Rick, Carl, and Katie inside and out. There's love, drama, and redemption. Really enjoyed this one!
MM/F romance.
Carl and Rick are a bi couple looking to add a female to their family and to fulfill their dreams. So along come Katie, who answers an ad to supplement the cost of her dream. It turns into much more. I really enjoyed this book. This is the second book that I have read by this author. She does a great job giving the reader and actual story mixed with a good balance of hot sexy time. This book was a good time, with a good story and good characters. Will definitely read more by this author.
Well...
I like the idea. I like the love. The sex was OK.
Now, I have to say I have never had DVP, but I don't think it would feel like described. Hardons are pretty soft. I can't imagine a human dick too big for a human vagina. (I'm talking about adults here.) Vaginas are pretty elastic. After all, they are made to push a baby through, and there are no dicks as big as babies.
The discussions are stupid. Maybe NN people have discussions like that, but I'm really irritated. Everyone just repeats the same thing over and over again, no-one listens to what the other says, and everyone talking with Katie is apologizing and trying to confirm her, and that irritates me.
So she decided to do the Anna Karenina horse thingy. So stupid. And that she was screaming about her leg first. I would have been worried about the horse, so worried about the fact that he hadn't clambered up already, that means something is seriously wrong... and then that the ambulance crew didn't take her away immediately, but had to wait for her to scream about Samson. So stupid.
And, yes, it was 100% her fault what happened. Not an accident. Not unlucky. Her fault.
Though it was totally uncharacteristic. She would have been 100% focused on the ride. It would not have happened. It was also pretty unnecessary. But I suppose she had to invent something to make Verity and her friends. I think that could have been better solved some other ways.
But I suppose this is just pulp fiction, so things like that aren't important.
So she breaks her leg, and she'll be paraplegic for the rest of her life, and never walk again. What? She's 22, healthy, and in good condition! People break bones all the time and heal. WTF, Jade?
“They didn't once look at me as though I was anything less than the girl they'd fallen in love with”
Were you? You broke your leg, does that make you somehow... less than? How?
Oh, and the “secret”? The HORRRRRIBLE thing Carl shouldn't have told her? sigh Too little shock value for that amount of build-up. And, yes, it was stupid, too. Who uses “Sugar Daddies” site for such?
Other than that, it was a good read. :-D
*Polyamorous ** I recommend you physically read the book and not the audiobook.
Not going to lie, I've avoided this book for a long while now because that cover is absolutely deceiving. It gives the impression that it's all about sex and nothing more. Also, I really don't like daddy kink. I was bored and decided to check it out. The daddy kink is there but in the form of the guys praising the gal- “good girl”. That was pretty much it and THAT I can handle.
This was perfection. There was so much to love. The plot was intriguing. The characters were well developed, multi dimensional, and complicated/flawed but not. I absolutely love real relationships and real partnerships. There was an understanding between Carl and Rick and then an understanding between Carl/Rick/Kate. It was awesome to see their relationship evolve and witness how they meshed with each other separately and again while being together.
Because of the connections made, the level of respect fostered and support shown between the three MC's on a deeper level, the sexy times were insane.
This was a good read.
I love Jade West. This author can really write dirty hot like no other.
Unfortunately despite being super excited about reading this one, I found it to be just “OK”. I LOVED Carl and Rick. I loved them together. They were super sweet and fucking sexy as hell. I loved them with Katie. Again, sexy as fuck sex scenes. Alas, Katie herself...well a more annoying selfish twit I have never had the displeasure to read. Everything was “MY dream MY dream MINE...” She was a raging bitch towards her father and sister (slightly understandable) but it was way OTT in my opinion.
My biggish issue though, this book was just so L-O-N-G. I felt like I was reading for days. It just dragged ON and ON and ON. Near the end I was just skimming to see how everything was going to end up.
In summary, hot sex scenes, loved Carl and Rick, Katie annoyed the fuck out of me. WAY too long...

Instantly turned off due to the internalised misogyny. My dude explicitly asks women if they would like to take 2 c*cks at once and shame them if they answer “sluttily”. What are you expecting?! You're on a sugar daddy dating website!
Also lots of weird shit I can't personally take. ‘Whore-gown'? ‘slutty knickers'? lots of shaming women for wearing makeup.
I read a few sex scenes and no I can't do this im out
