Love this Jenny Cogan Series. This is #4. Marissa moves from London to end of the earth Mount Polbearne where Polly runs The Little Beach Street Bakery. She has agoraphobia and can work remotely without having to interact with people. However, even in Mount Polbearne it's hard to escape the real world. Good plot showing her gradual improvement leading to family reconciliation and romance.
Was disappointed by this book. I read the one about the bookseller in Scotland and that fell flat for me. I though I would give Jenny Colgan another try. This one fell even flatter.
Polly and her family are mentioned in the beginning, but the story isn't about them. The way the book keeps going back to them is distracting.
Many mundane and uninteresting things happen. Not fun to read.
The food descriptions were good. But the rest, I would say choose another book.
