We get the story of ex mafia princess getting kidnapped but was supposed to be kidnapped and taken back to her father by another man to marry an old fuck. Our main man Luka, the second mercenary, is enthralled with Katie before he even meets her. Katie what's nothing to do with this life, especially when a brute of man is demanding to protect her. Katie was not afraid to retaliate but Luka was even more determined to keep her. I mean this was an amazing mafia read and I am determined to actually finish a series no.
