This is a very standard romance plot - the kidnapping plot! Very cave man. Still, Jess Michaels has a talent in making her characters very sympathetic and relatable and so a clichéd plot is given a new spin. Tip: Once you finish this book, read Beauty and the Earl where Liam's tale is explored. I love how authors like Michaels expertly weave a story into many books so you never really say goodbye to your favourite characters
