As her undercover work continues, Lucy, increasingly attracted to the enigmatic Tomas, the queen's fool, soon finds herself struggling with contradictory feelings when Tomas, seemingly smitten by the new lady-in-waiting, Juliette, dismisses Lucy's growing conviction that Juliette is not who she claims to be and could be a danger to the queen.
