The Body in the Dales

The idea of this book is good, and it's clear the author has extensive knowledge of the area it's set in. But the writing of the male-female relationships takes you out of the story, with the female characters caricatures at best. The story would have been much better without the teenage-boy view of how couples interact.

I've never read or listened to a thriller like it. It seemed almost satire in the way it was coming across. Lots of dark humor maybe? I'm english and even I was scratching my head. I don't know I loved it but I was intrigued for sure.

The story was really unusual but I loved the characters. Yeah this one is very different and nothing I have experienced before
