The Book of Lost Names

Summary: In a desperate attempt to escape the Nazis in Paris during WWII, Eva, a Jewish college student, forges false identity documents for her mother and herself and flees to Aurignon, a small town in France, on her way to Switzerland. In Aurignon, however, she discovers a forging operation working to help others, mostly children, escape the German occupiers. Eva becomes involved with this forging ring, working with a local priest and another forger named Remy. In Eva and Remy’s work, an unassuming book becomes very important, and, when it turns up 60 years after the war, Eva is blown away, and she must decide if she will engage with it and the memories it unlocks.
