Andrew Tillett, Sara Wiggins & Inspector Wyatt Book 4
Andrew Tillett's friend, Sara Wiggins, was missing. She had simply failed to return from dancing school. Of course, Andrew and his mother immediately notified their old friend Inspector Wyatt of Scotland Yard, and he and his men, as well as Andrew, began trying to solve the mystery. Something strange was afoot certainly. And when Sara's friend, Maria, the daughter the First Secretary of the Serbian embassy, also disappeared, the situation grew more tense. The young king of Serbia was about to visit England, and it was known that there were those who would like to kill the king.
The search for Sara and her friend Maria took Andrew and Inspector Wyatt in to many parts of London, but especially down into the London sewers. It was there, guided by an old tosher (someone who searched the sewers for objects to sell) that the essence of the plot against the king was revealed. But that did not find Sara or Maria. Where were they, and why were they being held?
Fortunately for all, the plotters had not counted on dealing with a girl as ingenious as Sara or a young man as perceptive as Andrew. Peter Wyatt might be good at preventing an international crisis, but Sara and Andrew knew how to help each other in London.
